Firstome — The first mile of omicsSeoul · 2026

The first mile
of omics, made
simple.

From the moment a sample arrives to the moment its data feeds the next study, Firstome runs the hardest stretch of omics research under one standard, and shows you where things are at every step.

Opening in stages · Korea 2026

01 — About

Good omics data starts at the lab bench, and that first stretch is also where most of the time gets lost. Firstome is the parent company that takes it on: three businesses for three kinds of customers, each under its own brand, with one quality system and one data standard.

03 — How it works

One sample,
six stages, one record.

Every stage is logged in our LIMS and shown on a single tracking screen, including who is responsible for it.

  1. 0.0 · SamploIntake

An order number and barcoded kit are issued. Scanning the kit opens the tracking screen.

  2. 0.2 · SamploPrep & QC

Arrival photo, temperature and per-sample QC. If a sample falls short, you decide before we proceed.

  3. 0.4 · PartnerSequencing

Run by a vetted sequencing partner, shown on the same screen from start to finish.

  4. 0.6 · SamploData delivery

Raw data and QC report on the portal. If the ETA moves, we tell you why, first.

  5. 0.8 · OmicsMateAnalysis

AI completes the first pass; vetted experts bid on interpretation.

  6. 1.0 · Samplo · DxBiobank & biomarkers

Leftover samples are banked and can feed biomarker programs, within consent.

04 — Principles

Whichever door you use,
the same standard.

Close by

We pick up samples near labs and hospitals, so handing them over takes as little of your time as possible.

Visible

You can always see where your samples are, what is being done to them, and when it will be finished.

One standard

Every order runs on the same SOPs and the same record system, so quality stays consistent.

With the best

Sequencing and in-depth analysis go to the strongest partners and experts for each job.

05 — For pharma · Firstome Dx

From research-use discovery
to companion diagnostics.

We don't promise every stage on day one. Here is what's open and what is being prepared, stated plainly.

Step 1 · RUO

Biomarker discovery

We analyze biobank samples and omics data against your program to find candidate markers linked to drug response, then confirm them in an independent cohort.

● Consultations open
Step 2 · Clinical trials

Patient selection assays (CTA)

Biomarker-based screening for trial enrollment, from intake to reporting under the same record system. Opens after laboratory accreditation.

In preparation
Step 3 · Approval

CDx co-development

Kits co-developed with pharma and IVD partners. IVD partners lead manufacturing and regulatory filing; Firstome Dx provides biomarkers and validation data.

Long-term
GCLP-aligned operationsSOPs, training, calibration and audit trails run to GCLP principles. This is an operating standard, not a certification. Our accreditation plan is shared during consultation.
Accreditation in sequenceClinical patient selection requires laboratory accreditation such as ISO 15189. Until then, we collaborate within research use only (RUO).
Consent and confidentialitySamples are used only within donor consent. Program details and data are handled under NDA, and rights to samples and data are defined by contract.
06 — Our promise

Standards first,
track record next.

We're still building a track record. So we publish the standards we will be held to, in numbers. If we fall short, we'll correct this page.

Storage never lapses silently

We ask to extend, return or dispose 30 days before biobank storage expires. Samples remain yours.

07 — A letter from the founders
We want researchers to think
about their research,
not their samples.

Anyone who has handled samples in a lab knows the routine: running with courier boxes, calling vendors, counting tubes stacked in the freezer.

Firstome takes on that first stretch. We record every sample to the same standard from the moment it arrives, show you how far it has come, and hand sequencing and analysis to the people who do them best.

We publish our standards before we have a track record because we want to be judged by how well we keep them. We hope to work with each of our first customers for a long time.

08 — Partners & Lab

People who have handled samples,
working with the best.

Researchers who have worked with samples at the bench work alongside engineers who make the process visible. We partner with the strongest organization at each stage, and we will name partners once contracts are signed.

10 — FAQ

Questions we hear

Anything else? Ask us on KakaoTalk. English is welcome.

01Can I send samples today?
Not yet. Samplo sample intake opens in stages from 2026. OmicsMate analysis requests are already open online (in Korean). Tell us your sample type, count and planned assay, and we'll let you know when and how we can take them.
02Do you accept samples from outside Korea?
Our first phase serves labs and hospitals in Korea. International shipments depend on sample type, import permits and cold-chain logistics, so we review them case by case. Get in touch before you ship anything.
03Do you sequence in-house?
Prep, QC, records, tracking and storage are done by us. Sequencing goes to vetted partners and in-depth analysis to OmicsMate experts. The tracking screen always shows who is handling each stage.
04How do you assure quality?
We run on GCLP-aligned SOPs with records for training, equipment and raw data. This is an operating standard, not a certification; our accreditation plan is shared during consultation. The laboratory accreditation needed for clinical testing is prepared step by step at the Firstome Dx stage.
05Who owns the samples and data?
You do. Biobanked samples are used only at your request and within consent. Scope of use is written into the contract, and access is closed when the project ends.
06How do pharma collaborations start?
With a short, non-confidential intro: stage of interest, indication and modality at a level you can share, and the samples or data you need. We sign an NDA before any detailed discussion.
07When will pricing be published?
Samplo pricing is published at launch, with per-order, lab membership and institutional plans. OmicsMate shows a cost band in its estimator, and the actual price for each request is set by expert bids.
08Can I pay with research grants?
We plan to support quotes, transaction statements, tax invoices and institution-level contracts. Detailed procedures are shared at launch; if your institution needs specific documents, let us know during consultation.
